Introduction!
I’m glad you’re here. I’m a director, producer, editor, and new dad who’s just as at home hiking through the woods as I am burning the midnight oil in an edit suite—always fueled by cold brew coffee.
With over fifteen years in the industry, I’ve had the opportunity to create films, branded documentaries, and animations for some of the world’s top media outlets, including National Geographic, CNN, and The New York Times. My work has taken me from documenting the frontlines of climate change to telling deeply personal stories about health, food security, and immigration. And there was that one time, while filming in Nepal, when our brakes gave out on a mountain road—but that’s a story for another time.
As the Creative Director at Think Out Loud, a full-service production company in Washington, DC, I’m always looking for new ways to push visual storytelling further. Whether it’s producing impact-driven documentaries, crafting compelling animated explainers, or directing music videos for genre-defying artists, my approach is rooted in making meaningful connections with audiences. That work has been recognized with a few shiny awards, like the 2022 Platinum Hermes Award and the 2021 Platinum Viddy Award—but more than anything, it’s a testament to the power of the stories we tell.
This blog is where I share what I’ve learned—insights on filmmaking, storytelling, and the evolving world of video production. If you’re an organization looking to create an unforgettable donor film, an NGO wanting to reach the right audience, or a creative just looking for inspiration, you’ll find plenty here to explore.
Let’s dive in and make something great together.
